Let us know how this upcoming electric SUV of the company will be.

Design and Build
Xiaomi YU7 electric SUV is going to be launched in the market next year. The company has recently unveiled it. It measures 4,999 mm in length, 1,996 mm in width, and 1,600 mm in height. Its wheelbase is 3,000 mm. It has dual electric motors in which a 220kW motor is at the front, and a 228kW motor is at the rear. It gives a combined output of 508kW. Which is enough to take it to a top speed of 253 kilometers per hour.

The electric SUV is powered by a Lithium NMC battery supplied (via) by CATL. There is a possibility that tremendous range feature can be seen in it. Overall, the design is quite similar to the SU7 sedan. Its image has been shared by CEO Lei Jun on Weibo, which reveals a sporty and modern looking SUV.

Who are you competing with?
The path to leadership in the EV market is not very easy for Xiaomi. The company may face the most competition from Tesla. Tesla Model Y SUV is among the top sellers SUV not only in the global market but also in China. Along with this, Xiaomi is also going to face tough competition from domestic companies BYD and Nio.

Will keep an eye on the price
The success of Xiaomi YU7 may also depend a lot on its price. The company has a history of bringing its products in front of everyone by beating its competitors in price in the smartphone market. But, things are not like that in the EV market. Making EVs is very expensive and keeping the price competitive while maintaining quality is not an easy task.

Tesla’s Model Y starts at 249,900 Yuan (approximately Rs 29,11,000) in China. There is a possibility that Xiaomi may launch its upcoming EV around this price. The company has maintained a mystery regarding YU7. But it has been confirmed by the CEO that this electric SUV will be launched in June or July next year.
