Women Ashes 2025: Kate Cross of England drops Australia Test at MCG

The Seemar Kate Cross of England has been dropped from a woman Ashes Test, which begins at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Thursday.
Captain Heather Knight confirmed that the 33 -year -old cross did not adequately recover from a back injury against South Africa in December.
The Cross Ashes was not part of the T20 side for the series, but the three missed the one -day international people who opened the tour with the same issue.
Night told BBC Sport, “Kate is now very close to full fitness, but is not just in the speed and performance that we know that she can reach her best form.”
“A Test match is four days, so she will miss and it is a real shame for her.
“She is a very important part of our group, she likes to play Test match cricket and she is so desperate to play. We are all really disappointed for her that she is not able to make it.”
This is a significant shock for England as Knight will remain without its most experienced seamor.
Knight did not reveal the England team as they were still deciding on the bowling attack, but confirmed that they would play an additional batsman in Sophia Dunkle.
Lauren Bell, Lauren Filers and all-rounder nuts are likely to attack the seam-arm.
England have lost all the six white balls matches on the tour so far and are fighting to avoid a 16–0 clean sweep, which has never been before in the multi-format series.
“How this tour has gone, there is a lot of injury and disappointment about how this tour has gone.”
“We didn’t show what we are able to do as a team, but we want to do so this week and show our character to fans who are here and looking back home.”
One test win is worth each point each and one draw two.
England also won in the 2022 series in Australia, but they ended with four points in total due to a ready test and two T20 washouts.
