WhatsApp Beta 225118 New Feature Coming Soon Event Scheduling for Individual Chats All Details
WhatsApp is developing the ability for users to create events in individual chats, which works similar to the existing function in group and community announcement groups, WhatsApp feature tracker WABetaInfo reports. Users can name the event, add an event description, and set a date and time for the event.
Other options can also be included when creating an event, such as attaching an end time and location or adding an audio/video call link. This feature can be especially useful for virtual meetings, as the linked call can begin communication directly at the scheduled time. Once created, the event is automatically shared in the chat and the receiver is alerted, allowing them to respond by accepting or declining the invite.
The report further suggests that the feature aims to make event planning easier for in-person interactions. For example, a tutor and student can schedule a private tutoring session, including essential details like time and location, or link it to a video call for an online session.
Apart from this, let us tell you that to deal with the problem of fake photos circulating on WhatsApp Web, the Meta-owned platform may soon introduce a new feature. A report has claimed that the platform is working on a new reverse image search feature, through which users can find out the authenticity of the picture themselves. This will be like Google’s reverse image search, in which Google allows users to find out the real background of photos through image search. The feature can be accessed through the overflow menu on WhatsApp Web, which will be activated by tapping the three-dot button in the image viewing interface. The feature will perform reverse image search through Google.
