Israel is moving to seize more Syrian land near the Golan Heights after opposition forces ousted former President Bashar al-Assad from power.

As the government of former Syrian President Bashar al-Assad fell, Israel captured more territory in Syria’s Golan Heights.

This move ends the 50-year-old ceasefire agreement.

But Israeli far-right ministers say their country’s borders should extend further – all the way to Damascus.
