Ukraine needs US security guarantee to stop Putin

Senior political creator

Sir Kire Stmper has reiterated his call for an American security guarantee in Ukraine to stop Vladimir Putin from attacking again, as he prepares to meet Donald Trump.
Speaking on the aircraft for Washington DC, Sir Kir said that he hoped the UK-US relationship “from strength to strength”.
But the two leaders appear on the importance of American security guarantee as part of any peace deal on the importance of US security guarantee for Ukraine.
Sir Kir said that there was a discussion about the potentially sending British soldiers in Ukraine, but he again emphasized his faith in the importance of “backstop”.
Asked how he believes that this backstop should be taken, he said: “What is really the configuration of it, what is really backstop, clearly a matter of intensive discussion, but I am not going ahead of it myself, apart from what I am very clear about what the principles are.”
Conversely, Trump has said: “I am not going to guarantee security.
“We are going to Europe, because we are talking about Europe as a neighbor next door.”
The President said that on access to Ukrainian minerals, the required deal between Washington and Kiev was “great” for Ukraine because they take us there. “
“We will be on the ground and this way is going to be automated security because no one is playing with our people.”
It is not yet known how much security support European leaders are asking the US, nor is there a measure of any American manpower on the ground in Ukraine associated with a mineral deal.
The Prime Minister said: “I am considering how we maintain peace in Europe and how we get a permanent peace in Ukraine.
“And I am fully convinced that we need a permanent peace, not the ceasefire, and to happen we need a safety guarantee.
“Well what that layers, what is visible, is clearly a matter of intensive discussion. We will play our role and I am clear that we will need some kind of US backstop.
“My concern is that if there is a ceasefire without a backstop, it will just give him an opportunity to wait and come back because his ambition in relation to Ukraine is very clear, I think, to see everyone.”
After Sir Kir’s visit, Trump Ukrainian President Volodimier will host Zelansky.
Zelancesi has said that the deal on minerals is initial and he still wants further agreements, arguing that without guaranteeing security from the US “we will not have a ceasefire, nothing will work.”
External Affairs Secretary David Lami, while talking for the ITV’s Peston program, was expected about the proposed deal of the US.
“If American interests are on the ground in Ukraine, it is the best security guarantee that Ukrainian may have. So, I hope they will receive the deal on the line in the next few days,” he said.
Sir Keir was specially preserved in his comments before Thursday’s meetings at the White House, such as trading with America since the inauguration of Ukraine, the Middle East and the inauguration of Trump.
Strengthening and deepening the US-UK relationship may be their ambition, but it is far from a guarantee with such unexpected President.
But when asked if he could trust Trump, seeing what he said in recent weeks, the Prime Minister replied: “Yes, I have got a good relationship with him.
“As you know, I have met them, I have talked to them on the phone, and the relationship between our two countries is a special relationship with a long history, as we fought together, as we traded together.
“And as I say, I want it to strength to strength.”
Do they think President Trump see Russia as an aggressive in Ukraine?
“Of course, the President is very clear about the peace he wants – he is right about him.
“We all want peace – the question is how we ensure that this is a permanent peace.”
“There is no issue between us on this,” Sir Keer insisted.
Earlier this week, Prime Minister Announced UK will promote military expenses up to 2.5% of national income by 2027, a step seen as an attempt to assert with the US President that has often attacked European countries to fail to spend more on defense.
This growth is being funded by deduction in foreign aid budget, which has angered international development charity and some of the Prime Minister’s own MPs.
In addition to the Ukraine War, artificial intelligence is also expected to be discussed.
Downing Street wants it “further integration” between the technology sectors of the two countries.
Potential flashpoints for Sir Kire are many more – this is a historic moment in his first year as Prime Minister.
