The capital of Uganda, a nurse in Kampala, dies after a highly infectious hemorrhagic fever contract.
Uganda confirmed the Ebola virus, its capital city and the outbreak of the death of a nurse in Comple, say the Ministry of Health.
The victim, who died at Kampala Hospital on Wednesday, was a 32 -year -old man, permanent secretary of the Ministry of Health Diana Atwin told reporters on Thursday.
He said that along with Kenya sought treatment at various facilities including a public hospital in Mbale, 240 km from Kampala near the border.
“The patient experienced multi-face failure and died on January 29 due to illness at Mullo National Referral Hospital. Post mortem samples confirmed the Sudan Ebola virus disease (stress), ”said in a statement by the Ministry of Health.

The ministry said that at least 44 people, including 30 health workers coming in contact with the nurse, are being ascertained in efforts to include the possible spread of highly infectious viruses.
It states that a vaccination drive for all contacts of the deceased will begin immediately.
Atwine said that the health officials “are under complete control of the situation”, urge Uganda to report cases of Uganda.

Uganda last faced outbreaks at the end of 2022, killing 55 out of 143 infected people. The deceased consisted of six health workers.
The East African nation has experienced nine outbreaks of viral disease since 2000.
