Two men prosecuted for stabbing Iranian journalist
Two men will face trial next year accused of attacking a journalist working for an Iranian television channel.
Nandito Badia, 20, and George Stana, 24, of Romania, are accused of stabbing Iran international Pouria Zerati to death at Wimbledon last March.
The defendants appeared at the Old Bailey via video link from Belmarsh Prison to confirm their names and dates of birth before being remanded in custody.
Mrs Justice Cheema-Grubb scheduled a plea and trial preparation hearing for this April and a provisional hearing at Woolwich Crown Court for May 2026.
