Hungary is leading a rift at non -governmental organizations and media outlets in the country that receive funds from the US and other international sources.
An associate of US President Donald Trump, Hungary Prime Minister Victor Orban, said that his government was going to line “by line” which had received financial assistance from the US.
Under the Orban, Hungary has taken action on NGOs over the years and the country’s independent media, passing laws that critics argue that tarnishing and obstructing groups providing protection for women and minorities.
