Thousands of houses killed Australia in the form of floods

A woman has died in Australia and thousands of people have been forced to escape from their homes, as there is floods due to torrential rains in North Queensland.

Officials are warning that the flood waters may increase to the second storey level, in such a situation they have described as dangerous and life-threatening.

In the last 24 hours, parts of North Queensland have received more than 700 mm (26 inches) rainfall and are worried that according to Queensland State Premier David Crisfulli, “record rain” will continue on Monday.

Meteorologists say that these can be the worst flood in the region in more than 60 years.

Chrysfulli said that Northern Queensland had experienced “long”.

“This is not just intensity, but also its longevity,” he told the Australian broadcaster ABC.

Thousands of people living in the city of Townsville were asked to leave their homes by noon on Sunday, while the authorities brought the floodwater into 100,000 sandbags to block the water.

Parts of the road have been cut between the Townsville and the tourist center of Cairns, which obstruct the efforts to achieve rescue teams and sandbags in the region.
