Teenagers charged with bus station murder in court

Four teenagers have appeared in court charged with murder after a 17-year-old boy was stabbed to death near a town center bus station.
Thomas Taylor was attacked by a group of men at 17:50 GMT on Wednesday as he walked on Greenhill Street next to Bedford bus station.
Ahmed Adam and Bennett Ndenkeh, both 18, and two other teenagers, aged 16 and 17, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared at Luton Magistrates’ Court.
Mr Adam, of Mardale Close, Kempston, Bedford, and Mr Ndenkeh, of Midland Road, Bedford, were in the dock together, wearing gray tracksuits, and talking only to confirm their names, dates of birth and addresses.
Two other teenagers appeared in the dock a short time later, with the 16-year-old wearing a navy suit and blue shirt and the 17-year-old wearing a black suit and white shirt.
Both young men, whose family members were present in court, spoke only to give their names, dates of birth and ages.
None of the defendants were asked to enter a plea.
District Judge Keem Low remanded the two adult defendants in custody and the two youths to a youth detention facility pending their next appearance at Luton Crown Court on Wednesday.
A 16-year-old boy, who was also arrested on Saturday in connection with the incident, has been released on bail pending investigation, police said.
