Teen arrested after man dies from injuries

A teenager has been arrested on assault charges after a man died during a disturbance in Renfrewshire.

Emergency services were called to Mary Road and Lochbroom Drive in the Foxbar area of ​​Paisley at around 16:15 on Saturday.

A 21-year-old man was found seriously injured and pronounced dead at the scene. His death is currently being treated as unexplained and his next of kin have been notified.

Police said a 19-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the alleged attack.

Det Inspector Euan McMillan said: “Our inquiries are continuing to establish the full circumstances of this incident, however there is no known risk to the wider public.

“Officers will remain in the area during the investigation and anyone with any concerns can contact them.”
