Al-Shara did in Riyadh for talks by Syrian Foreign Minister, Asad al-Shabani.
Osama bin Javaid of Al Jazeera said that Al-Shara chose Riyadh as his first destination “Make sure that Saudi Arabia knows and realizes the importance that this new Syria puts it down”.
Al-Shara led the Syrian protest in overthrowing President Bashar al-Assad’s rule on 8 December after the advance of electricity across the country. Since then, the new Syrian administration has sought to achieve regional and international validity and damage Western sanctions on Syria.
However, concerns over al-Qaeda’s al-Shara’s previous membership have supported some quarters, even the new leadership of Syria has emphasized regional integration and safety for religious and ethnic minorities.
During the visit of Damascus last week, Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan said that his country was engaged in an active conversation with Europe and the United States to help lift the economic sanctions imposed on Syria.
Bin Javaid said that the purpose of the journey of Al-Shara is to remind Saudi authorities to remind the promise and get all possible help in the infrastructure of Syria, the reconstruction of government and institutions.
Additionally, Riyadh’s visit is a symbol of “seismic change” in the alignment and future relations of the country away from the loyalty of President Bashar al-Assad of Iran and Russia.
Last month, Al-Shara told Al-Arabia TV that Saudi Arabia “definitely plays a big role in Syria’s future”, “a big investment opportunity for all neighboring countries”.
On Sunday’s visit to Al-Shaibani, Syrian Foreign Minister Al-Shabani, Riyadh was also visited last month.
Meanwhile, Qatar’s Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani visited Damascus on Thursday, who became the first Arab leader to do so since Al-Asad was overthrown.
