Stmper and Zelanski to meet on Downing Street

Prime Minister Sir Kir Stmper and Ukrainian President Volodimier Zelanski will meet at Downing Street on Saturday afternoon, some have said.
Zelanski arrived at the Stanstad Airport locally locally, on Friday, in a line between the two leaders on US support for Ukraine after his White House meeting with US President Donald Trump on Friday.
In a statement posted on X, Zelansky said about Trump, “Despite the difficult dialogue, we remain strategic partners. But we need to be honest and direct with each other to really understand our shared goals.”
His arrival in Britain arrives a day earlier when Sir Kir hosts the summit of European leaders to end the war between Ukraine and Russia.
There was a preamble for two leaders signing a mineral deal, a preamble for a preamble, developed in an unprecedented public conflict in the Oval office and Trump accused Zelansky of “gambling with World War 3”.
US Vice President JD Vance was also in the room and asked if the Ukrainian President had thanked America for his help.
While Zelancesi has thanked America in the past, he did so again in a string of X messages reached in the UK. In one, he said that Ukraine was “very grateful” to the US for his support in the last three years.
“America’s help has been important in helping us survive, and I want to accept it,” he said.
“It is important for us to support President Trump. He wants to end the war, but no one wants more peace than us. We are living this war in Ukraine. It is a fight for our freedom, for our freedom.”
