Stephen Tims spoke to participate in Muslim Council event

Despite the government ban on association with the group, a minister has been talked to participate in the British Muslim Council (MCB) program.
Labor’s leadership “reminded” his “Sir Stephen Tims” to “maintain collective responsibility” after Labor’s leadership attended the MCB annual leadership dinner.
Sir Stephen was one of the four Labor MPs to participate with backbencher Afzal Khan, Naz Shah and Abtissam Mohammed.
In 2009, the Labor Sarkar formed a relationship with the MCB after a senior person allegedly supported Hamas. The links started again in 2010 when MCB condemned the violence, but recently conservative and labor governments have denied any official engagement.
Sir Stephen has been approached for comment.
The presence of Sir Stephen in this incident described the questions of Conservative MP Nick Timothy about the government’s stand on the group.
Timothy said the government’s policy on MCB was “a complete mess”.
On Tuesday, the official spokesperson of the Prime Minister said that the government’s policy on the group has “not changed”.
He said: “The minister has been reminded of his duty to maintain collective responsibility.”
Under the leadership of Jeremy Corbin, Sir Stephen served as Labor’s confidence messenger, responsible for party engagement with a series of confidence groups, and continues to work closely with such organizations.
