St. Pancrass is planning for direct trains from UK to Germany

The new direct train routes from London to Germany, Switzerland and France may open as part of the plan to promote passenger numbers at St. Pancris Station.

The London St. Pancris high speed, which is the owner of the station and operates the track for the channel tunnel in Folkstone, has already determined proposals to increase the capacity for international train travel from 1,800 passengers to about 5,000 per hour.

It now wants to attract various train operators to offer many services in Europe.

The Eurostar currently holds a monopoly on trains via the channel tunnel along the routes of Paris, Brussels and Amsterdam.

The London St. Pancris Higher speed and Gatelink have signed an agreement that will help them expand the rail connectivity between the UK and Europe.

A spokesman for London St. Pancris High Speed ​​said, “Many European cities can be reached by train in less than six hours, which we think is actually competitive with short-hall air travel.”

Gatelink’s CEO Lerich, who owns the Eurotunel, said: “We are eager to carry forward attractive opportunities for low carbon dynamics with a range of new destinations in Germany, Switzerland and France.”

London St. Pancris High Speed ​​believes that Bordeaux, Colon, Frankfurt, Geneva, Marsile and Zurich are possible for Bordeaux services.

No set timeline has been revealed yet.

Eurosar dropped services between London and Disneyland Paris in June 2023, and no longer there are no routes between London and the south of France.

Virgin Group and Evolin are two companies developing plans for the services of rivals for Eurostar that can take passengers to new proposed sites.
