Six Nations: Wales to play under closed Principality Stadium roof for next two years
The WRU also says that both home matches in the 2025 Six Nations will be played in front of a crowd of 74,000 at the Cardiff venue.
Ireland visit the Welsh capital on Saturday, February 22 (14:15 GMT), before Warren Gatland’s side host England on Saturday, March 15 (16:45 GMT).
“Selling out both of our home fixtures is an achievement which shows the excitement building ahead of another exciting Guinness Six Nations campaign at the world-famous Principality Stadium,” WRU chief executive Abi Tierney said.
“Both senior men’s home fixtures have been extremely demanding and this is a fantastic achievement and a sign of the passion and belief Welsh rugby fans have for this team.
“The Principality Stadium is one of the most iconic sporting venues in the world and our retractable roof, one of our most distinctive features, will enable us to create an amazing atmosphere while bringing the matchday experience to life during the 2025 Six Nations Makes it.”
Wales begin their Six Nations campaign against France in Paris on Friday, 31 January, before facing Italy in Rome eight days later.
The team, who finished bottom of the Championship without a win in 2024 and have lost a record 12 international matches, will also travel to Scotland on Saturday, March 8, before concluding with a home match against England.
