School closed for second day due to water pipe burst

Schools were closed for a second day after a main pipe at a treatment plant burst, while repair work continued to restore water to about 8,000 homes.
Nearly 40 schools in Conwy have announced they will be closed on Friday, following the incident at the Brian Cowled Water Treatment Works in Dolgarrog, Conwy, on Wednesday night.
About 40,000 homes are believed to be without water as a result of burst pipes, leading to the closure of more than 20 schools and one school. Number of businesses on Thursday,
Water supplies were expected to be restored on Thursday, but on Friday morning Welsh Water said it could take another 48 hours, even after major repairs were carried out.
