Ukrainian forces shot down 50 of the 72 drones launched by Russia overnight. In reference to Ukraine’s use of electronic warfare to redirect Russian drones it added that nine drones were “lost”, with one still in Ukrainian airspace.
Russia’s Defense Ministry said its air defense systems destroyed 15 Ukrainian drones over Russia and two maritime drones in the Black Sea.
The ministry said eight drones were downed in the Ryazan region, six were destroyed in the Kursk region and one drone was downed in the Belgorod region overnight.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Saturday that allies should work toward determining a format for potential peace talks with Russia, reiterating that only talks involving Kiev can bring lasting peace.
Zelensky said the State Department’s freeze on foreign aid has not affected US military aid to Kiev. According to him, the suspended aid is related to humanitarian aid. “My focus is on military aid. It has not been stopped,” he said.

Zelensky said during a visit by Moldovan President Maia Sandu that Ukraine is ready to supply coal to Moldova, which is struggling with an energy crisis after Russian gas flow through Ukraine was cut off this year.
