Romanian people on March after the arrest of far-flung president’s favorite

Eastern Europe Correspondent in Bucharest

After taking the favorite of the presidential election for questioning, thousands of Romanians marched over Vijay Square of Bukharest, the seat of the Romanian government.
Kaleen Georgsku was raised on his way to register as a candidate, and was later accused of an attempt to overthrow the constitutional order, as well as membership of a new-fascist organization.
Lavinia said, “The mentality of the Georgesku is similar to that of Trump’s mentality,” Lavinia said, as she ran her three -year -old daughter’s Pushchair through the sea of the Romanian slant flag.
“He will hear our opinion, as we hear him. We came here today for freedom and democracy.”
There was an unexpected turn on the day of Georgsku’s arrest.
Guns, grenade launchers, and the gold bullion buried under the floorboard was found in a raid on 47 properties by the Romanian police, targeting a network, allegedly run by a former French Legonaire and Military Head in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
The current hideouts of Horatu Potra are unknown, but his alleged link by Georoscu has only added to the conspiracy.
While Horatu Potra has accepted the illegal possession of weapons, Georgesku has denied all the wrongdoings.
In just three months, the Romania has moved from a stable and loyal member of the European Union and NATO to a country where a far-flung, supporter Russia’s figure has almost not come to be a favorite for the presidency.

Georgesku led the first round of the last December election, but the Romanian intelligence was canceled after information, when Russia included 800 Tikokkok accounts, supporting him.
Elections are being reunited on 4 and 18 May.
For critics of Georoscu, pictures of arms cash are the ultimate proof of its danger to the Republic.
For his supporters, they are the latest bouts of mud-making, an attempt to do a corrupt regime to oppose unavoidable, trump-inspired change.
On the roadside, a lonely busker rang the same tune on an electric piano, as a sea of protesters was passed.
“We are talking about the freedom of choosing our own president,” said Ona Epti, “Romanian people’s patriotic party vice -president, another right -wing group.”
One of the specialties of the Calin Zoroscuy incident, it is that he has reached beyond the existing nationalist parties such as, Romanian’s alliance for the Union, which won 18% and 63 seats at the House of Depot in parliamentary elections on 1 December.
Some elections raised him up to 40%.

Georgsku has assumed both Firebrand and Leader, George Simian and SOS Romania, both Diana Soska.
Oana Eftimie dismisses the allegations against Georoscu, and some of his backbacks, as Slanders, as:
“They were already prosecuted for all of them, and the case was closed last year for lack of evidence. So he is not a fascist, we are not fascist, we are just ordinary people who are capable of choosing our leader, and tired with those who are now in power.”
In a quiet flat away from noise march, Elena Calistu, president of funky citizens, a liberal, non-governmental organization, believe that the protesters have a corrupt, gentle aristocratic class, in fact, is actually some of the basis.
“But if you have a house and the roof is leaking. You are not burning below the house. You fix the roof, right?
“Unfortunately for us, however, the illness that we see throughout Europe, lack of leadership, lack of politicians capable of talking to the general public without trying to compete with people, also exist in Romania.”
As a loyal American ally, the Romanian military analysts hold their breath on the fate of the sufficient American military infrastructure in Romania, including 4,500 American employees. “Desian Spring”, which is a major NATO exercise prescribed for spring, has been postponed until after May elections.
Candidates have till March 15 to register their candidature for the presidential elections. If the Romanian Constitutional Court Rules are the rule that Georgsku cannot stand, then due to the allegations against him, how will Americans react?
US Vice President JD Vance clearly criticized Romania at the Munich Security Conference last month.
“If your democracy could be destroyed with a digital advertisement of a few hundred thousand dollars from a foreign country, it was not very strong to start with it.”
“Now, the good news is that I think your democracy is very brittle, which is clearly afraid of many people”, Vance said.
Romanians look unrelated on both sides of the political spectrum.
