Police attempted murder on police charges
On Friday, a person has been produced in the court on charges of attempt to murder and six other crimes after three officers were injured in a police station on Friday.
Alexander Stephen Dieton, 27, Rondda Sinon from Lalantrescent in TAF, is also accused of an emergency activist, attack, arson, criminal damage, an aggressive weapon possession and attack on the knife.
He represented himself in the Mertiir Tidfil Magistrate Court on Monday and confirmed his name and date of birth at a brief hearing.
Mr. Dieton was sent to custody until the next hearing was expected to be in Cardiff Crown Court on 3 March.
The incident took place on 31 January 19:00 before GMT when police say that a person started damaging cars at the police station.
In a statement, the police said that there was a violent struggle after the officials challenged the man.
Three officers were injured, two to the hospital and treated their injuries.
Both have now been discharged.
