Palestinian patients open after 9 months on the way to Egypt as a rafa crossing

Rafah Border Crossing has opened up for the first time in about nine months to allow sick and injured Palestinian patients to travel to Egypt for medical treatment in Gaza.

Egyptian television showed a Palestinian Red Cross ambulance drawing to the crossing gate, and many children brought on stretcher and transferred to Egypt to an ambulance.

Rifly reopening Rafa crossing represents a significant success that Israel and Hamas agreed to the ceasefire deal earlier this month.

After releasing the last living female prisoners in Gaza in Hamas, Israel agreed to reopen the crossing.
