In a statement, the Israeli army said on Tuesday that the attack took place at Tayisir Checkpoint near Jenin in North West Bank.
The Israeli Yate Outlet reported that an attacker equipped with an M -16 automatic rifle set a soldier who came out of a strong bunker on fire from a range nearly, leaving for several minutes.
According to the Israeli ambulance service, eight soldiers were also injured in the attack.
The incident occurred during an increased tension period at West Bank, along with major Israeli operations in the Genin Governate, the refugee camp in the city, Tulramam as well as other areas.
