Pakistan YouTuber was ordered to make welfare videos to keep lions

A Pakistani YouTube star has been ordered to make 12 animal welfare videos as a punishment for having a lion child illegally.
Rajab Butt, who has 5.6 million customers, was painted with the cub after being given at his wedding last month by the owner of another YouTube channel.
Under the Community Service Order, Mr. Butt has been ordered to make a five -minute video per month for one year to educate his audience.
The cub has been taken to the Lahore Safari Zoo by the authorities and he is named Bhatti.
In a statement, Mr. Butt said that he was sorry to accept the cub and admitted that “it is unfair to keep wild animals under such circumstances”.
He said, “As a social media influential person, I should make positive materials. I was not authorized to keep a lion baby and by doing so I set a wrong example.”
A court also ordered the Wildlife Department to help Mr. Butt to prepare his educational material.
A wildlife officer informed the police after watching a video posted on his YouTube channel last month, where he received the cub at his wedding.

This was given to him by Umar Dolla in a cage, which runs another YouTube channel called Lion Hub.
Mr. Dolla claimed in the court that he is still the legal owner of the animal. However, the judge ruled that the local media reported that it was confiscated by Butt.
Mr. Butt said that he would “provide community service through his social media platforms and spread positive messages about the rights of wild animals”.
Tariq Janjua, director of the Lahore Safari Zoo, told the local media that lions cannot be domesticated and keeping them is a threat to humans along with being cruel towards animals.
