OnePlus Ace 5 series was launched in China on Thursday. The series includes Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro models. Both models come with a BOE X2 flat display with 1.5K resolution and a peak brightness of 4500 nits. The vanilla model comes equipped with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and Ace 5 Pro comes equipped with Snapdragon 8 LTE SoC. For better gaming, these include Wi-Fi Chip G1, which claims to reduce gaming lag by up to 60 percent. These include double ice core vapor cooling system. The Pro model comes with a 6100mAh battery that supports 100W Super Flash Charge, while the vanilla model comes with a larger battery capacity but lower charging output.

Both models of OnePlus Ace 5 series run on Android 15-based ColorOS 15. It features a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display with 1.5K (2780×1264 pixels) resolution and variable refresh rate between 1Hz to 120Hz. Both models support 2160Hz PWM dimming and impressive peak brightness levels of up to 4500 nits. The display is protected by OnePlus Crystal Shield Glass. The Ace 5 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset with Adreno 750 GPU, while the Ace 5 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, coupled with the Adreno 830 GPU. These phones are available with storage options up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB UFS 4.0.

Both Ace 5 models sport a triple rear camera setup, consisting of a 50MP main sensor (Sony IMX906) with f/1.8 aperture and OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide camera (Sony IMX355) with 120-degree field of view and a depth sensor for close-up shots. 2MP macro camera (OmniVision OV02B) is included. The setup supports 4K video recording at 60fps. For selfies and video calls, the device is equipped with a 16MP front camera (Sony IMX480) with f/2.4 aperture, capable of recording 1080p videos at 30fps.

The Ace 5 packs a 6415mAh battery with 80W fast charging, while the Ace 5 Pro packs a 6100mAh battery with 100W fast charging. Connectivity options include 5G SA/NSA, dual 4G VOLTE, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and USB Type-C. Both the devices come equipped with Beidou, Galileo, GLONASS and QZSS systems for accurate location tracking.

These include in-display optical fingerprint sensor, infrared sensor, and IP65 water and splash resistance. The Ace 5 measures 161.72 x 75.77 x 8.02 mm and weighs 206 grams (glass) and 223 grams (ceramic). Whereas, Ace 5 Pro has dimensions of 161.72 x 75.77 x 8.14 mm and weight of 203 grams (for both glass and ceramic).
