One side items after the festival crush

Blankets, shoes and backpacks are scattered on the ground at the site of a crush in northern India, which took place at the Vishal Kumbh Mela at the religious festival in the early hours of Wednesday.

Many worshipers are suspected to be injured and sources have told the BBC that at least a dozen people have been killed – although there is no official confirmation.
