Neymar has participated with El Hilal by mutual consent, the Saudi Pro League Champion announced after a disappointing magic at the club for Brazilian all-time top scorer.
The 32 -year -old faced a knee injury in the Brazilian World Cup qualifier against Uruguay in October 2023 and struggled to return to his best.
The Saudi club posted on X on Tuesday morning, “Al Hilal and Neymar Junior have agreed to end the player’s contract with mutual consent.”
Neymar played only seven games for Al Hilal since the Paris St.-Germen (PSG) left for the alleged fee of about 90 million euros ($ 98m) in August 2023.
Brazilian media has reported that Neymar, who has scored 79 goals for the national team, will return to his childhood club Santos after joining Barcelona in 2013.
Neymar still holds the world record for football transfer fee at 222 million euros ($ 232m) after going from Barcelona to PSG in August 2017.
