Murder suspect may be ‘armed and dangerous’


Police have named a man wanted in connection with the death of a woman who was found injured in the street in Plymouth.
Devon and Cornwall Police have warned Paul Antony Butler, 53, that he may be “armed and dangerous” and advised members of the public not to approach him.
A 40-year-old woman died in hospital early on Thursday following an attack in Plymouth the night before.
Det Inspector Rob Smith said: “We have taken steps to release the image of the individual we need to identify in connection with the murder investigation.”
He added: “At this time the suspect is still at large and a major response is ongoing.
“We believe this man may be armed and dangerous, so we are asking the public not to approach him under any circumstances and if you see this man call 999 immediately.”
Authorities said the suspect was approximately 6 feet 5 inches (195 cm) tall, with brown and gray hair and blue eyes.
Police said officers were continuing inquiries to locate him and appealed to the public to provide any information or information regarding his whereabouts.
