Mohamed Salah on Liverpool’s league title bid: This year feels different football news

Salah made the comments after Liverpool beat Leicester 3-1 on Thursday to go top of the Premier League table with seven points.

Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah said he feels something is different about the way the club has been performing as English Premier League leaders this season as they earned a 3-1 win over Leicester City Have clarified seven points.

Leicester took an unexpected lead in the sixth minute through Jordan Ayew on Thursday, but goals from Cody Gakpo, Curtis Jones and Salah turned the tide at Anfield.

Liverpool are now title favourites, but have faltered in a similar situation before, most notably in the 2018–19 season when they had a considerable lead but ultimately fell behind to Manchester City.

“It feels different but the important thing is we need to stay humble,” Salah, who leads the league with 16 goals, told Amazon Prime on Thursday.

“When we were ahead we had some injuries and in the end we lost. Hopefully we will continue like this without any injuries and win.

“It is very special. Hopefully we win the Premier League for this club – it’s something I dream about.”

Liverpool face West Ham United on Sunday before hosting Manchester United on January 5.
