MG Motor to Present Electric M9 MPV At Bharat Mobility Global Expo

MG Motor, which is rapidly increasing its share in the electric vehicles (EV) market, is preparing to launch a new EV in the country. The company will present the electric M9 MPV at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo to be held next week. Along with this, the company’s electric sports car Cyberster will also be displayed.

MG Motor had showcased the M9 at the Auto Expo held two years ago. The LED lights at the front are a highlight. The headlamp has been embedded in its bumper. There is a chrome outline which goes till the lower end of this wheel. Its rear also has the same pattern with vertical taillights. The MG M9 has a three-row layout with 7 seats. Reclining seats in its second row are provided with massage facility. This electric MPV has three-zone climate control, touch screen panel for the second row, seat ventilation, sliding rear door and entertainment screens.

MG M9 will be with fully electric powertrain. It has a 90 kWh battery pack that offers a range of about 430 kilometers on a single charge. The company’s Windsor EV, launched last year, is getting good response from customers. A warranty of eight years or 1,60,000 kilometers is being given on the battery of this electric crossover. In December last year, the Windsor EV was the best-selling electric car for the third consecutive month. This is the third EV for the company to cross sales of 10,000 units.

In December, MG Motor’s sales increased by almost 55 percent to 7,516 units. Windsor EV’s share in this is about 3,785 units. The company has said that the contribution of EV in its total sales in December was about 70 percent. MG Motor’s portfolio of electric vehicles also includes the Comet EV and ZS EV. The company started delivery of Windsor EV to customers on Dussehra. Windsor EV has connected LED lights on both the front and rear. It has 18-inch alloy wheels for better aerodynamics. Its front has the MG logo below the connected LED DRL strip. It has a charging port on the front left fender.
