Man saves LA home from burning in an instant

Retired firefighter Rich Snyder rescues a neighbor from his burning home as the wildfire spread to a Pasadena street where he has lived for more than 30 years.
He told BBC correspondent Helena Humphrey that he was working on his laptop in the evening when he saw the massive fire from his window.
Mr. Snyder immediately evacuated his home and warned his neighbors before extinguishing the fire with a garden hose.
With the help of the fire brigade, which was roaming in the area with vans loaded with fire retardant, he managed to control the flames.
In the end, two houses on the street burned down and another house had its roof damaged.
