Joe Biden ratifies Israel and Hamas Gaza ceasefire deal

Joe Biden has said the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas will “stop the fighting in Gaza” and boost “much-needed” humanitarian aid to the Palestinians.

In an address on Wednesday, the outgoing US president also said the agreement would mean Israeli hostages held in the area would “soon” be returned to their families.
