Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin rocket launches

Jeff Bezos’s Blue Origin company has successfully launched a rocket into orbit for the first time.

The reusable rocket, New Glenn, was initially scheduled to launch earlier this week, but was postponed after a “vehicle subsystem problem.”

The mission was partially successful after the booster carrying the rocket into space failed to land on a platform in the ocean.

However, it’s still a big step for Jeff Bezos and his company, who have spent years getting to the point of sending a rocket into orbit.
