Israeli settlers attacked Palestinian villages, setting vehicles on fire and injuring several residents in the West Bank.
Israeli settlers have set fire to vehicles and property under the protection of Israeli forces, while also injuring several Palestinians in the occupied West Bank.
Wafa news agency quoted Jalal Bashir, head of the Jinasfut village council, as saying on Monday evening that the attacks took place in the villages of Jinasfut and Funduk, east of Qalqilya.
He said dozens of Israeli settlers attacked Zinsfut and set fire to three houses, a nursery and a workshop. Settlers also set fire to several vehicles owned by Palestinian residents.
A Palestinian was hit in the head while trying to defend his home. Several others were being treated for injuries caused by tear gas fired by Israeli soldiers.
In the southern West Bank, Israeli settlers also attacked a Palestinian home in the Masafar Yatta area. Dozens of settlers attacked Palestinian vehicles south of Hebron with stones, damaging several of them.
Yesh Din, which monitors human rights in the occupied Palestinian territory, shared video clips showing a building engulfed in flames from attacks by Palestinian-owned vehicles and earlier residents.

According to the group, settlers set fire to two Palestinian houses and at least four vehicles in the village of Sinjil, northeast of Ramallah. In the village of Ein Siniya, north of Ramallah, settlers attacked and set fire to houses. It said settlers attacked and damaged Palestinian-owned property in Turmus Aya, northeast of Ramallah, and also threw stones at vehicles on Route 60 near al-Lubban Asharqiya, south of Nablus.
The attacks by Israeli settlers come as US President Donald Trump signed an order on Monday to reverse US sanctions against them in the occupied West Bank. The Biden administration described them as part of the “extremist compromise movement.”
The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights in Palestine (OHCHR) also expressed concern at the “renewed wave of violence” by Israeli settlers and armed forces in the occupied West Bank.
“The UN Human Rights Office is concerned by the wave of renewed violence perpetrated by settlers and Israeli security forces in the occupied West Bank, concurrent with the implementation of the Gaza ceasefire agreement,” it said in a statement.

OHCHR also said that the violence was accompanied by restrictions on the freedom of movement of Palestinians, including the closure of checkpoints and the installation of new gates, resulting in the closure of entire communities.
