Iran rejects nuclear dialogue because UAE distributes Trump’s letter

Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has rejected the idea of negotiating with the US on his nuclear program, as Tehran confirmed receiving a letter from President Donald Trump.
Last week, Trump said that the letter proposed a negotiation on a deal that would prevent Iran from receiving nuclear weapons and stopping possible military action.
However, Khameni said that he had not seen the letter, which was given by an official of the United Arab Emirates, he dismissed it as a “deception of public opinion”.
“When we know that they will not respect it, what is the matter of talking?” He asked, referring to Trump’s decision to leave the 2015 Iranian nuclear deal during his first term.
He warned that Iran would retaliate in the event of attacks on its nuclear facilities.
“Iran is not demanding war, but if the American or their agents take a wrong step, our response will be decisive and certain, and the most harm will cause America,” he said.
The supreme leader, who has the final to say the final on all state affairs, also reiterated that Iran was “not interested in nuclear weapons”.
Ten years ago, the country agreed to a historic deal with six world powers – China, France, Germany, Russia, UK and America to limit its nuclear activities and allow monitoring by International Nuclear Energy Agency (IAEA) inspectors in return for relief of restrictions.
However, Trump unilaterally excluded America from the agreement in 2018 and resumed the US economic sanctions. He called it a “worst deal in history”, saying that it was very low to stop Iran’s possible passage to make atomic bombs.
Iran responded by rapidly violating the terms of the deal, especially limiting the production of rich uranium, which can be used to produce fuel for nuclear power plants, but can also be used to manufacture nuclear weapons.
IAEA said last month that Iran enriched about 275 kg (606LB) uranium with 60% purity, which is near the weapon grade. This will be theoretically enough, if six atoms are enriched up to 90%for bombs.
Both the US and Israel have warned that they will never allow Iran to keep nuclear weapons. If necessary, Israel has threatened to attack the Iranian nuclear facilities.
Last year, Israel said it is part of Iran’s nuclear program, which was done in response to an Iranian missile attack.
In a TV interview aired last Friday, Trump said: “There are two ways that Iran can be handled: military, or you make a deal. I would prefer to make a deal, because I don’t want to hurt Iran. They are great people.”
He said, “I wrote a letter to him,” I hope you are going to talk, “because if we have to go military, it is going to be a terrible thing for them,” he said.
The White House has not given any details about the content of the letter, which Iran said that Foreign Minister Abbas Arki was assigned to Foreign Minister Abbas Arki by UAE President Anwar Gargash.
Although the supreme leader dismissed the idea of interaction with the US, the Iran’s mission on Sunday said in a statement that it could consider the conversation “If the aim is … to address the concerns of any possible militaryization of Iran’s nuclear program”.
Araki also said on Wednesday that nuclear talks with UK, France and Germany were “running”, while the Chinese Foreign Ministry said that China, Russia and Iran would discuss “Iranian nuclear issues” at a tripartite meeting in Beijing on Friday.
