Home with 24,000 light Christmas display
For the past four years, Gary and Anna Gray have spent the entire year preparing for Christmas.
Since December 2020, the pair have transformed their West Lothian home into a high-tech Christmas light show, featuring over 24,000 lights and around 150 props, such as a large LED Christmas tree, candy canes and angel wings.
They are all connected to Gary’s laptop and synchronized to light up in time with the music.
The display takes 10 months of planning and six weeks to create, and hundreds of people gather to see Gray’s display during the month of December.
This has become known as the “Armadale Illuminations”.
Over the past four years they have raised thousands of pounds for Cancer Research, the British Heart Foundation and local charity, Armadale Shed.
This year they are raising money for Alzheimer’s Scotland in memory of Anna’s grandmother who had dementia.
2024 will be the last year the couple organizes the light show.
