Google Maps misled again! Foreign tourists set out for Nepal on bicycles, got stuck in Bareilly dam

Two French tourists went cycling from Delhi to Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal. But they lost their way midway and got stuck near Churaili Dam. According to the police, the villagers saw both of them at night and took them to Churaili police outpost. The police kept the cyclists overnight at the village head’s house and sent them off the next day after showing them the correct route.
According to Baheri Circle Officer Arun Kumar Singh, French citizens Brian Jacques Gilbert and Sebastian Francois Gabriel had come to Delhi from France by plane on January 7. He had to go from Pilibhit to Kathmandu, Nepal via Tanakpur. In the dark, Google Maps trapped both of them and they lost their way. The app showed them a shortcut via Bareilly’s Baheri, due to which they lost their way and reached Churaili Dam.
When the villagers saw two foreigners wandering here and there on bicycles on a deserted road at 11 o’clock in the night, they tried to talk to them. But the conversation did not work out due to lack of understanding of the foreigners’ language. To avoid any untoward incident with the two tourists, the villagers took them to the police post of Churaili. Where the police arranged for him to stay at the house of the village head. There are many events that have happened recently. It was seen that Google Map took the traveler somewhere else.
