Google has unveiled Gemini 2.0, a new version of its Generative Artificial Intelligence chatbot (GenAI) Gemini. It is claimed that it is the most accurate AI assistant ever. About 10 months ago the company had launched the Gemini 1.5 model and now it has been upgraded. For now, Google is releasing Gemini 2.0 Flash, which is for experimental preview. Google says that Gemini 2.0 is the most capable AI model yet. This has been named ‘agentic era’. This model features native image generation and audio output along with multimodal output as well as integrated tools like Google Search and Google Maps.

Google’s blog post states that Gemini 2.0 Flash is an experimental version of this model. Its performance is not only fast, latency is also low. Developers can start working with this model through the Gemini API. Gemini and Gemini Advanced users will be able to try Gemini 2.0 Flash in the Model dropdown menu on their desktop. In a blog post, Google said that it is using Gemini 2.0 in its research prototypes like Project Astra.

So will AI take decisions consciously?

Google has introduced the new Gemini by calling it ‘Agentic Era’. This term is used for a time in which AI completes its work on its own, it also takes decisions and talks to its customers on behalf of businesses and people.

Company also brought deep research feature

Google has also introduced the deep research feature. He will work as a research assistant. This will help in improving the search. It is claimed that with the help of deep research, easy information will be available on difficult topics.
