Friends leave home immediately after Palisades fire
Tanner Charles and his friends were home trying to make their house as fireproof as possible when the Palisades fire began. He filmed the moment he was forced to run down a street lined with several burning houses.
The Palisades Fire, one of several burning in Los Angeles, exploded into massive proportions late Tuesday as strong winds lashed northwest Los Angeles. It has already damaged at least 1,000 buildings and more than 30,000 residents have been forced to evacuate.
President Joe Biden on Wednesday approved a major disaster declaration for California, which will give residents immediate access to funding and resources for their recovery.
