Ethiopia to Israel: Secret Tour | Migration

Thousands of Ethiopian Jews transport for Israel in the 1980s by Mossad and CIA.
For centuries, Judaism was isolated from religion and now Israel was discriminated against today. It is the story of an ancient Jewish community commonly known as Falasha Jews – mainly from Ethiopia – and the operation of secret, politically controversial smuggling which brought them from Sudan to Israel in the 1980s. In the late 20th century, Phalasha Jews (also known as Beta Israel) faced harassment and famine, indicating significant migration to Israel.
However, Israel was not recognized by Arabs and many African states – so countries such as Ethiopia and Sudan could not be seen openly to help Israel to increase its population. Hence Mossad and CIA operated the secret operations to transport thousands of Ethiopian Jews from refugee camps in the Sudani desert. When these missions were discovered, they caused a huge political decline in Sudan. In addition, the Falasha Jew, who arrived in Israel, is found marginalized himself and still faces integrated challenges in Israeli society.
