Dead bodies of man and six year old girl found in house
A man and a child have been found dead in a house in West Lothian.
The bodies of a 36-year-old man and a six-year-old girl were found at a property in Harborne Drive, West Calder.
Police responded to a report of a person in distress at a home Monday morning.
Officials said autopsies would be conducted in due course and the deaths were being treated as unexplained.
The force said his relatives are conscious and are being supported by specialist officers.
Cllr Inspector Elaine McArthur-Kerr said: “We understand that this incident can be very distressing and worrying for people living in this community and would ask anyone with concerns talk to us,
“There will be a police presence in the area while we investigate and anyone with any concerns or information can contact officers.”
