‘Daring’ Rugby star dies at the age of 27

A “courageous and brave” rugby player died after the diagnosis of leukemia a year ago.

Ellis Joseph’s former Bristol Club, Old Redclifies RFC, confirmed, “died peacefully at her family’s house”.

Mr. Joseph was focusing on a campaign #Tryforellis to find a bone marrow donor, with, “Countless people” when joining the stem cell register As a direct result, the club said.

A spokesperson said: “Ellis showed immense courage, and those who knew him will remember the bravery and strength that displayed in this difficult time.”

He said, “Remarkable, he had never wise, and he remained the same comic, light-hearted soul, whom we all loved,” he said.

The team will observe a minute’s silence before Sunday’s game against Toonton and Chun Hill.

Mr. Joseph joined the club as a junior. He earned more than 100 National League caps there, which the club stated that there was “a remarkable achievement”.

He was also selected to represent the Samarset, which became a part of the “historic team”, which lifted the Bill Beom County County Championship Division 2 Cup in Twentyenham.

The team said that Mr. Joseph “will be remembered a lot, but his memory will be in all of us”.

Leukemia is a type of blood cancer that affects blood cells in your bone marrow – usually white blood cells, Blood cancer UK said.

Common symptoms include:

• Long -faced

• More easily bleeding

• Frequent infection and high temperature (fever)

• Swollen lymph nodes (glands, armpits and waist in your neck).
