Coca-Cola asked for drinks due to security concerns

Coca-Cola has withdrawn its drinks across Europe because they have a “high level” of chemicals called chlorate.

The firm stated that the recall focused on Belgium, Luxembourg and Netherlands. It states that only five product lines were sent to Britain and had already been sold.

Chlorine -based germs can be produced when used in water treatment and food processing.

“Independent expert analysis concludes that any risk associated with it is very low,” a spokesperson told the BBC.
