Carney meets Macron on the first foreign trip as PM
Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney is meeting French President Emmanuel Macron to discuss the partnership and support of countries for Ukraine.
During a news conference, Carney described Canada as “most European of non-European countries”, and said that he hoped that Europe would “enthusiastically” work with Canada.
Macron described the two countries as “peace powers” as he vowed to protect Ukraine from new Russian aggression.
