Canadian serial killer victim found in landfill
Police say the remains of an indigenous woman killed by a serial killer have been found after the discovery of a landfill in Canadian province of Manitoba.
Officials said the remains of Morgan Harris were recovered in the Preary Green Landfil in the north of Vinypeg city. The authorities discovered Mirades Miran of Harris, 39, and 26 -year -old, both Long Plane First Nation. Police say the remains of two sets have been found.
Harris and Myron were one of the four indigenous women killed by Jeremy Skibiki in 2022, who dumped their bodies in two different landfills in a span of three months.
The discovery of Prior Green Landfil began late last year, which began after a long pressure campaign by indigenous leaders.
Morgan’s daughter, Kambriya Harris, said in a Facebook post on Friday that her mother’s discovery was “very bitwatch moment”.
The post said, “Please keep moving forward to our families tonight and every day as we rely on this process.”
The police initially refused to discover the landfill, and a federal government’s study concluded that one could take three years and cost C $ 184m (£ 100m; $ 128m), exposed to dangerous chemicals with workers.
