Bt email access was restored after first outage

The broadband provider has confirmed that thousands of Bt customers unable to reach their email on Saturday morning have been released.

According to the trekking site dutter, an outage report started from 05:00 GMT, which received a summit of more than 5,000 complaints from customers.

But on Saturday, after 14:00, in an updated statement, BT said that the problem was fixed and apologized to the customers who were affected.

Other services including broadband, TV and mobile package were unaffected.

The outage appeared nationwide, from Aberdeenshire and Dummfrees in Scotland to take customers on social media to report issues of Warwick, Norfolk and Vacfield in England from Warvick, Norfolk and Vacfield.

BT had earlier stated that it was investigating the cause of the outage, and suggested that those affected switch off Wi-Fi and use mobile data to reach their emails.

“Email is not working. What is the problem? When will it be decided?” A user, Paul Haf, wrote, who tagged the provider in a post on X.

Another customer said, “Unable to login the Bt email. Message ‘BT Server Outage. Later try”.

Others reported that they were able to use their emails after switching to mobile data from Wi-Fi.
