His Lal Ford Focus was parked between Agaleston and Stanhop on B6278 on Wednesday.
The Durham police said that the body of Ms. Hall was found in the “very remote area of Teesdale” immediately after 09:30 GMT on Sunday.
The formal identity has been done so far, but the family of Ms. Hall has been informed.
The force said it was not considering his death as suspicious and a file was being prepared for the coroner.

Mountain rescue teams have been searching for Ms. Hall from Tuesday.
Teesdale and Weerdale Search and Mountain Rescue Team led the search with the police and covered the routes and tracks of 60 miles (97 km) by Friday.
More than a dozen Mountain Rescue Team members participated and attended seven drones, 10 mountain rescue dogs and more than 60 volunteers on Saturday.
Ms. Hall was a curious long -range runner and was known to run through a hamsterly forest, the largest in the county and extends to 4,942 acres (2,000ha).
Earlier this week, rescue volunteer Peter Bel said it was difficult to find the region.
“The biggest challenge is the size and area of the region,” he said.
“The area is sloppy and bogey.”
The Durham police thanked the Mountain rescue teams who were working with the authorities on the ground.
The force also thanked the public for his help in sharing his appeal.
Visitors of the forest were asked to place the authorities and not disturb the area during the search.
