Blinkit to Deliver Laptops, Monitors, Printers in Only 10 Minutes

Blinkit, one of the big companies in the quick commerce segment, on Thursday announced the delivery of laptops, printers, monitors and many other electronic products in just 10 minutes. Initially this service is being provided in Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Pune, Lucknow and Kolkata.

The company’s chief executive officer, Albinder Dhindsa, said in a post on social media platform We have tie-ups with leading brands in this category.” The majority of these products will be delivered from Blinkit’s large order fleet. “We will soon expand the number of brands and products,” Dhindsa said.

Last week, Blinkit launched a quick-response ambulance service in Gurugram. Its goal is to provide reliable emergency medical aid in urban areas. This service has been started with five ambulances. Ambulance booking can be done through Blinkit’s app. This service will soon be launched in other cities also. Late last year, Blinkit launched 10-minute food delivery app Bistro to compete with Zepto Cafe. The company achieved its highest ever per minute and hourly orders on New Year’s Eve.

Recently, All India Consumer Products Distributors Federation (AICPDF) had written in a letter to the Competition Commission of India (CCI) that the companies associated with quick commerce are trying to attract customers by giving low pricing or huge discounts. In this, CCI was requested to implement measures to protect the interests of general distributors and retailers. AICPDF, representing around four lakh retail distributors of big companies, had said in the letter that it is very difficult for ordinary distributors and retailers to compete with such methods. According to market research firm Datum Intelligence, Zomato-controlled Blinkit’s share in this market is about 40 percent. This segment has grown rapidly in the last few years.
