Black Sabbath Honor ‘means’ Ozi Ko’

Sharon Osbourne welcomed the news that her husband Ozi Osbourne and her Black Sabbath Bandmates are ready to achieve the freedom of Birmingham.

Talking to BBC Radio WM, TV personality and former X Factor Judge said that her husband was very excited and “this means that her home should be recognized ().

Later on Tuesday, four founding members of Birmingham City Council Band would discuss the proposal to give the status of City Freeman, which was formed in Aston in 1968.

Black Sabbath was founded by singer Ozi Osbourne, guitarist Tony Iomi, Basist Terence “Geyser” Butler and drummer Bill Bard.

Black Sabbath is often credited with invention of heavy metal music

Jim Simpson, the first manager of Black Sabbath, also welcomed the news.

The 87 -year -old still works throughout the time as the founder of the record label Big Beer Records.

He took care of the band when he changed his name from Earth, and once changed the name of Birmingham Airport after Osbourne.

“Sabbath’s influence is around the world, it is not just on this city,” he explained.

“He invented a style of heavy rock in a single-form, inspired for heavy rocks of eight or 10 or 12 other forms in turn. Many bands may not claim to do so.

“Ask yourself who is the most famous Broomi of all time? I think it’s ozi.”

The freedom of the city is given by a local council to a person or military unit for recognition of their extraordinary service in the city.

For honored honors, a special meeting of the council needs to be held, on which two-thirds of the councilors agree.
