Ben Chillwell: Crystal Palace set Chelsea to sign a left-back on the loan

Chelsea’s defender Ben Chilwell is set to join the Premier League rivals Crystal Palace on the loan for the rest of the season.
28-year-old Left-back Chilwell has not made a premiere league appearance since April 2024 and was reported in the previous August that it was not part of the plans of Enzo Marska.
England International has appeared only once this season, in September in the second part of the Blues Karabao Cup win against Barrows.
Chelsea’s boss Marska has earlier stated that Chilwell, who has a contract until the summer of 2027, is free to leave on a permanent deal.
Palace Morocco International Chadi is keen to sign Chilwell to promote his defensive options after going out for the rest of the season with a knee injury.
Chelsea signed a Chilwell from Lecester City on a five -year deal for £ 45M in 2020 before expanding its contract in April 2023.
The most of his 21 England caps were a friendly against Belgium in March 2024.
Chilwell was released from Gareth Southgate’s Provisional 33 Man England Squad for Euro 2024.
Palace is ranked 12th with 30 points out of 24 games in the Premier League.
If this step passes, Chilwell can start its palace against Doncaster Rovers in the fourth round of FA Cup on 10 February (19:45 GMT).
