Australia vs India: Pat Cummins took 5 for 57 as the hosts won the second Test by 10 wickets.

Pat Cummins took 5-57 as Australia registered an emphatic 10-wicket win over India on the third day of the second Test to level the series 1-1.

India started the day at 128-5 – 29 runs ahead at the Adelaide Oval – and were all out for 175 despite a fighting 42 from Nitish Kumar Reddy.

Cummins did most of the damage, while Scott Boland took 3-51 and Mitchell Starc claimed 2-60, setting Australia a target of 19 runs to win.

Openers Nathan McSweeney and Usman Khawaja achieved the target in just 3.2 overs.

The third Test will start in Brisbane from 14 December.

India’s defeat means they now need to win all three remaining Tests in the five-match series to qualify for the World Test Championship final.

Australia will have to win four of the next five Test matches to secure their place, but will need fewer wins.
